One of the best parts of ushering in the new year is remembering the good times of the past year. Luckily, 2015 gave Nomads plenty to play with.
Exciting new projects
During the last 12 months we’ve had the chance to work with some amazing clients on incredibly exciting projects. We helped a participatory video marketing company extend their reach to Android. The app we built was used for the launch of a “selfie movie review” campaign with Yahoo Movies and Cinemark. A major luxury car company called our enterprise sales enablement project their “smoothest vendor relationship to date”. Last but not least, we helped the nation’s leading broadcast provider reach a brand new audience on connected devices.
We are currently in the midst of developing two applications that will launch early 2016. One, what we hope will become a truly world-changing news delivery platform. The other one, an OTT video application targeted towards the Hispanic market whose content library has more hours of video than Netflix!
A growing tribe
We’ve expanded our team with some amazing new hires. Greg Horowitz joined Nomads this year as VP of Marketing. Greg comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having held senior marketing roles at both startups (Uproar, Roadify) and Fortune 500 companies (Time Inc, Sony). Giannina Amato, our new Creative Director, is known for her record-breaking Firefox campaigns and has many years of experience in both traditional and digital advertising. Osvaldo Ferrero also joined Nomads this year as Senior Software Engineer. Osvaldo has over a decade of experience with mobile and web applications and middleware systems. Welcome all!
A new Puerto Rico outpost
During Q2, we set up camp in sunny Puerto Rico. Our new flip-flop-friendly branch houses some major creative and development talent. We look forward to growing our presence on the island while making positive contributions to the growing tech community.
Some public recognition
Top top things off, we were named the second fastest-growing tech company by revenue in South Florida by the South Florida Business Journal and our our work was showcased by Google during their September press event.
2015 was a great year for the tribe. We thank our clients for trusting us with their best ideas and our restless team for their amazing work.
